EnglishTHE FIRE SERVICE COLLEGE IN CRACOW was founded in 1960. The College educates a middle technical staff for Polish Fire Service. Young people learn about firefighting, medical and technical rescue, chemistry, hydraulics, etc. A practical training take place on College's fireground. During duty in the College' s Fire Station instructors together with students put fires, rescue casualties, etc. The College also educates different ranks firemen on periodical improving courses. International symposiums, exhibitions and conferences help to know the present and the future of a world fire service and rescue. The Fire Service College educates 21st century firemen prepared for help and rescue everybody, everything, everywhere and everytime - in every event and every accident.
TRAINING CENTRE FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE PEOPLE AND THE CULTURAL HERITAGE
The Centre works from the end of 1996 and organizes trainings and courses for professionals from Poland and abroad who work at protection of cultural goods and protection citizens.
First step to organize The Centre was made by Poland during International Conference NATO and UNESCO "Partnership for Peace" in 1996 in Cracow. The Centre was organized by Ministry of Culture according to the agreement with The Chief of The Civil defense and The Main Commandant of Polish National Fore Service Headquarter. The best conditions for The Centre was offered by The Commandant of The Fire Service College in Cracow. And additionally Cracow is a very nice ancient city with a lot of historical buildings and monuments.
The main tasks of The Centre is to train and educate people working at protection of culture goods during peace and war and who are responsible for them, and responsible for protection of people. Teachers and instructors are professionals from Poland and abroad working as conservator of monuments, academies and others.
